The Corvair B-36 Peacemaker was a product of the Cold War.  Designed to deliver a nuclear payload over the USSR, this plane was the largest of its era.  Two of these planes crashed in Newfoundland and Labrador.  One wreck is located in central Labrador, the other in Burgoyne's Cove (Near Clarenville).  The Burgoyne's Cove site is relatively accessible with a well marked 1km trail leading to it.
